Pharmacology of Napa Extend 665 mg

A mild anti-inflammatory and analgesic, paracetamol also has some antipyretic properties. The central nervous system (CNS) is the primary mechanism of paracetamol (acetaminophen) increasing the pain threshold. It does this by inhibiting both isoforms of the cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1, COX-2, and COX-3, which are involved in forming prostaglandins (PG). Paracetamol is a derivative of paraaminophenol, which has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. Paracetamol (Napa Extend 665 mg) is among the most widely used, safest, and quickly-acting analgesics. It has none of the many adverse effects of aspirin and is easily tolerated.

Interaction of Napa Extend 665 mg

Alcohol, barbiturates, and tricyclic antidepressants can all affect a patient's ability to metabolize high dosages of paracetamol properly. When combined with alcohol, a paracetamol overdose might result in hepatotoxicity. Liver enzymes rise in response to anticonvulsants and oral steroid contraceptives, which may increase first-pass metabolism or clearance and impede the achievement of therapeutic Paracetamol levels.

Napa Extend 665 mg should not be used if a patient has a history of hypersensitivity.
